INGREDIENTS
1 stick butter
1 C sugar
8 oz sour cream
2 eggs
pinch of salt
2 C sifted flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 C sugar
2 tsp cinnamon
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350. Grease and flour a large ring mold, then set it aside.
Mix cinnamon sugar topping and set aside. Sift all of the dry ingredients and set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, cream softened butter and sugar.
Add sour cream and eggs.
Slowly add dry ingredients, then vanilla. Don’t overbeat.
Put 1/2 of the batter in the bottom of the mold, then 1/2 of the cinnamon topping.
Layer the last of the batter and then the last of the topping.
Cook time depends on where you live. Set the timer for 30 minutes and check. Mine takes 40 mins. The cake should be slightly separated from the sides. Check with a toothpick. If it’s clean, it’s done. Let it cool for about 15 mins. Run a knife around the edges and turn it upside down onto a serving plate.
